Item suggestions

Your past invoices are your price list

Start typing a line item and Sendinvo suggests the descriptions and prices from invoices and quotes you’ve already sent, then fills both in with one tap. There’s no price list to build or keep up to date: your history is the list.

Your first 3 invoices are free to send, no card needed.

How it works

Type a little, fill a lot

1

Start typing a line

Begin a line item the way you always do. The moment you type, Sendinvo looks through what you’ve invoiced and quoted before.

2

See matching items

Descriptions and prices you’ve used that match what you’re typing appear right below the field, so you can pick one instead of retyping.

3

Fill both with one tap

Tap a suggestion and the description and the price drop into the line together. Adjust the quantity or price if this job is a little different.

4

Prices stay in currency

You only see prices you’ve charged in the document’s currency, so the numbers are always ones you’ve actually used before.

The details

A price list that keeps itself

Most invoicing tools ask you to build a catalogue of items and prices before you can use it, then to remember to update it whenever your rates move. Sendinvo skips that step: the items and prices come straight from the invoices and quotes you’ve already sent, so the list is always as current as your last document.

Nothing to set up or maintain

There’s no separate screen to fill in and no prices to keep in sync. Every invoice and quote you send quietly adds to the pool the suggestions draw from, so your most recent rate for a given item is the one you’ll see next time.

Prices matched to the currency

Suggestions match the currency of the document in front of you, so on a euro invoice you only see prices you’ve charged in euros. If you bill clients in more than one currency, this keeps your rates from crossing over. It pairs with multi-currency invoicing so each currency keeps its own set of prices.

Quotes count too

A price you put on a quote is just as much a part of your history as one on an invoice. So a rate you agree at the quoting stage comes back as a suggestion when you invoice the same work later, and you’re not typing it in twice.

A typeahead, not a catalogue

Suggestions appear as you type and match what you’ve entered so far, rather than asking you to scroll a long list. You type a few letters, see the items that fit, and choose. If nothing matches, you carry on typing the new line as normal.

Questions

Good to know

Do I have to set up a price list first?

No. There’s nothing to set up or maintain. Every invoice and quote you send becomes part of your history, and Sendinvo suggests from that history the next time you type a matching item. Your past documents are the list.

How do the suggestions appear?

As you start typing a line item, matching descriptions and prices from your history appear beneath the field. Tap one and both the description and the price fill in together. It’s a typeahead that matches what you type, not a catalogue you browse.

Will I see prices from a different currency?

No. Suggestions match the currency of the document you’re working on, so on a euro invoice you only see prices you’ve charged in euros. You won’t mix up a rate in one currency with a rate in another.

Does it suggest from quotes as well as invoices?

Yes. Both count as history. A price you put on a quote and a price you put on an invoice can both come back as suggestions, so a rate you set on a quote is there when you invoice the same work.

Can I still change the price after picking a suggestion?

Yes. A suggestion fills the line in for you, and you can edit the description, price, or quantity afterwards like any other line. Nothing is locked in.

Let your invoices remember your prices.
