The matches drop in under the field: your saved items first, each with its price and unit, then the lines you’ve billed, each with the price you last charged. It matches anywhere in the wording, so “fix” finds first fix and second fix.

Change a saved item’s price and that’s the price it adds from then on. Billed a line that isn’t saved at more than one price? The most recent one is offered, so putting your day rate up once is enough.
Saved items are the things you charge for every week, kept as a list under Items: the call-out charge, an hour’s labour, the part you fit on every job. The lines you’ve billed before sit beside them, so the list is as current as the last job you billed. Both are offered under the item field on invoices, quotes, and recurring invoices.
An owner or admin keeps the company’s items: a name, a price, the unit it’s priced by (each, hour, day, m², and the rest), labour or materials if you use CIS, and, if it needs one, a VAT rate of its own. Anyone who writes invoices and quotes can use them. Typed a line that isn’t saved yet? Switch on Save to items beside it and it’s there for next time.
Picking an item copies its name, price and unit onto the line. Put the item’s price up, or delete it, and the invoices and quotes that already use it stay exactly as they were.
You can send your first invoice without saving a single item. Every invoice and quote you send adds its lines to what Sendinvo draws on. Where you’ve billed the same wording more than once, the price you last charged is the one offered, so a rate change only has to happen once.
Type “fix” and both first fix and second fix come up. Type “day” and your day rate lines do. You don’t have to remember how you worded a line months ago, only one word that was in it.
A price you put on a quote counts the same as one on an invoice. Agree a price with a client at the quoting stage and it’s waiting when the work is done and you come to invoice it, so the figure on the invoice is the figure they accepted. Start a job from the accepted quote and Raise invoice brings the quote’s lines across for you.
You only see prices you’ve charged in the currency of the document in front of you. Most jobs here are in sterling, and if you take on work priced in euros through multi-currency invoicing, a euro figure can’t land on a sterling invoice by accident.
Once an item or a suggestion fills the line in, it behaves like anything else you typed. Reword it, change the price, set VAT on that line, or mark it as labour or materials on a CIS invoice, where the deduction comes off the labour and leaves your materials at full value.

No. Suggestions match the currency of the document in front of you, so a sterling invoice only offers prices you’ve charged in pounds. A rate in one currency can’t land on an invoice in another.
Yes. Both count. A day rate you put on a quote comes back when you invoice the work, so you aren’t reading the figure off the quote and typing it in again to make the two agree.
Yes. A suggestion fills in the description and the price, and both stay editable, as does the quantity. If the job ran three days instead of two, or you’ve put your rate up since, change it on the line.
