Send files with every invoice email

Your terms of business, an insurance certificate, photos of the finished job. Add your standing files once and they go out with every invoice email, next to the invoice PDF. Any invoice can add its own or leave one out, and quotes carry a set of their own.

Your first 3 invoices are free to send, no card needed.

The invoice PDF plus your standing files, in one email. Adjust the list on any invoice before it sends.
How it works

Set your files once, send them every time

1

Add your standing files

In your company’s Documents settings, add the files every invoice email should carry: your terms, a certificate, a price list.

2

They go with every send

Each invoice email arrives carrying the invoice PDF plus your files, whether you send it by hand or a recurring schedule sends it for you.

3

Adjust any single invoice

On an invoice’s Email tab, add one-off files for that job, or leave a standing file out. That invoice alone changes; your defaults don’t.

4

Quotes have their own set

Quote emails carry their own files, so a brochure or case studies go out with quotes while your terms stay with invoices.

The details

Everything the job needs, in one email

An invoice rarely travels alone. The trades send proof of the work: photos of the board before it was closed up, the certificate that goes with it, a short video of the finished room. Service businesses send the paperwork: terms of business, an insurance certificate, a statement of work. Attachments put all of it in the same email as the invoice, so nothing follows in a second message and nothing gets asked for twice.

The files people actually send

Documents, spreadsheets, and presentations; photos straight off a phone, HEIC included; video from a phone or a screen recorder; CSVs, plain text, and zips. Executables and script-carrying files such as HTML or SVG are refused, and mail providers block most of them anyway. Every upload is verified by its contents, not just its name, so a mislabelled file can’t sneak through.

Sized for real inboxes

An email carries up to 10 MB of attachments, including the invoice PDF itself, a size that arrives safely at every mainstream inbox. The running total is shown as you add files, and if one won’t fit, Sendinvo tells you how much room is left rather than bouncing the send later.

The document stays clean

Attachments travel with the email, not on the invoice. The PDF your client files stays a clean, formal invoice, and the supporting material sits beside it in the same message, each file under its own name.

Questions

Good to know

What kinds of file can I attach?

Documents (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), photos straight off a phone (HEIC included), videos, CSVs, plain text, and zips. Executables and script-carrying files such as HTML or SVG are refused, and mail providers block most of them anyway. Every upload is checked by its contents, not just its name.

How much can one email carry?

10 MB together, including the invoice PDF itself. The running total is shown as you add files, and if one won’t fit you’re told how much room is left.

Do attachments appear on the invoice document?

No. They travel with the email, alongside the invoice PDF, so the document itself stays a clean invoice. Your client gets everything in one message: the invoice, plus the files that back it up.

Can quotes carry different files from invoices?

Yes. Quotes have their own set, so proposal material goes out with quotes and your terms go out with invoices, without either list leaking into the other.

Do recurring invoices include my attachments?

Yes. An invoice generated by a recurring schedule carries your standard invoice files, the same as one you send by hand.

Can I leave a file off one invoice?

Yes. On that invoice’s Email tab, remove any of your standing files for that invoice alone, and restore them there any time. Your standing set is untouched.
